Frequently Asked Questions
What is your cancellation policy? We understand your plans may change. A full refund will be issued to any conference registrant who cancels up to two weeks prior to conference time. Any cancellation with less than two weeks notice will result in a 50% refund. Those who register but do not show up to the event will forfeit their entire registration fee.
Who's behind RMMRC?RMMRC is a volunteer-led event, with the planning committee comprising representatives of watershed partnership groups, engineering consulting firms, state and federal agencies, mining companies, and educational institutions. We are all passionate members of the mining and mine reclamation industry. We support bringing RMMRC to life because it connects us with each other, and with you!
RMMRC began as the San Juan Mining & Reclamation Conference in 2015. For many years, the Mountain Studies Institute helped to facilitate the event. Information on prior events can be found on the MSI website here.
In 2024, the event expanded to the Rocky Mountain Region and rebranded as RMMRC. The first RMMRC was held in Leadville, Colorado in May 2024.
In 2026, Mountain Studies Institute stepped back as the facilitators of the event, and that role transitioned to Trout Unlimited. We are very grateful for the support of TU, MSI, and all our planning committee volunteers!
